The terms

Deposit
50% on acceptance of the quote. Balance on completion, before we leave your site.
Never
100% up front. Not for any job, at any size.
Quote validity
30 days. Steel and aluminium prices move; after 30 days we re-check and tell you.
Quote cost
Free, including a site visit within 40 km.
If the date slips
You hear about it on the Monday, not on the Thursday.
Payment
Bank transfer or cash. Cheque for company accounts. No card.
Tax invoice
Issued on every job. VAT 7% added to the quoted price.
Warranty
1 year on workmanship. 5 years on hot-dip galvanised steel against rust-through. Glass and hardware carry the manufacturer’s terms.
Not covered
Impact, forced entry, rust on SS201 you asked for anyway, and corrosion on anything never rinsed within 1 km of the sea.

Why we are shut some Saturdays

Every couple of months we shut on a Saturday. The crew goes to a children’s home nearby and fixes what has broken — a gate, a fence, a handrail, a swing frame — and we cook lunch there. We mention it here because customers ask why the shop is closed on a Saturday. There are no photos of the kids on this website.
