What we make
Seven job types, with an indicative rate, what the rate includes, the size we will not exceed, and the lead time. Rates are indicative because every job differs — what moves them is listed below.

Aluminium windows and doors
Sliding and swing windows, sliding doors, fixed panels, insect screens.
6063-T5 extrusion, powder-coated. 5 mm clear, tinted or laminated glass.

The limit
Single panel up to 1,800 × 2,400 mm. Above that it needs a heavier system we do not stock, and we will say so rather than build it anyway.

Stainless doors and gates
Security doors, folding gates, sliding driveway gates, shopfront grilles.
SS304 only for anything outdoors. Ask us why — the answer is on the materials page.

Mild steel posts and rails, vertical bar or mesh infill.
At 1.8 m high, hot-dip galvanised then powder-coated.

Stair rails, balcony rails, ramp rails, pool-side rails.
SS304 38 mm round or square, or powder-coated mild steel indoors.

The limit
We build to a 1.10 m rail height and a 100 mm maximum gap as standard, and we will not build lower or wider even if you ask.

Awnings and canopies
Shopfront awnings, carport roofs, walkway covers, machine covers.
Steel or aluminium frame, metal sheet or polycarbonate.

Industrial platforms and stairs
Access platforms, mezzanine floors, machine stairs, walkways, guarding.
Chequer plate or grating deck, with stair, handrail and kick plate.

What it does not
- Any structural calculation requiring a licensed engineer’s stamp. We build to a drawing that already has one, or to a load we can state and stand behind.
The limit
Single level only, deck height to 3.5 m.

Small-batch parts and repairs
Brackets, frames, jigs, guards, trolleys, replacement parts, machine repair.
Quantities from 1 to about 200. Beyond that we will tell you to find a press shop.

3 – 5 working days, often faster for a repair that has stopped a machine
What that includes
- Cutting, forming, welding and deburring
- Tolerance ±0.5 mm on cut and drilled work
- Tolerance ±1 mm on welded assemblies
What it does not
- Anything tighter than ±0.5 mm — that goes to the small mill and lathe and is quoted separately
The limit
Bring a drawing, a sample, a photo of the broken one, or a sketch. All four are fine.
What moves a quote
None of this is a surprise charge. It is on the quote before you agree to anything.

What we do not do
- Structural steel for buildings requiring a licensed engineer’s stamp. We will tell you who to call.
- High-rise work, curtain walling, anything over three storeys.
- Jobs where we would be a sub-sub-contractor on a large site. We cannot chase payment through three companies, so we do not start.
- Hot-dip galvanising in-house — it is sent out, and it adds 5 days.
- Anodising — also sent out.
- CNC machining beyond small parts. There is a small mill and a lathe here, not a machining centre.
- Same-day work, except a broken security gate or door on a building that has to open.
- Any design we think is unsafe. At any price.
